Stewardship

The ministry we carry out at CHS is made possible by generous offering of pledges and gifts to support our operating budget. We encourage members of our community to make a pledge each year, so that we can plan for the year ahead. And we invite those making a pledge to think proportionally about their gifts. The biblical standard is the tithe (10%) of a person's income. But whatever percentage you feel called to share, we believe that this proportional thinking reminds us that we are called to be givers, in response to God's generosity to us.

Every fall, we run our Annual Campaign, in which we ask people to make pledges for the coming year. Pledge cards will be mailed to members, and we will do our best to explain how we as a community are stewards of your generosity. But know that you may offer a pledge or gift to the church at any time in the year, and it will be gratefully received. Pledge cards are available at the Parish Office, all year long.

We have also recently initiated a planned giving program, which allows people to support our community in days ahead.
