Interfaith Dialog

At CHS we believe that God calls us to forge an understanding among our neighbors of other faith traditions through education, prayer, and interfaith dialogue. We began that dialogue with our sisters and brothers of North Shore Congregation Israel in Highland Park, Illinois in the fall of 2005. Ron Miller, Chair of the Department of Religion at Lake Forest College facilitated a conversation between us and we visited each other's houses of worship. Plans to begin a dialogue with our Muslim neighbors will take place in the spring of 2006, also facilitated by Ron Miller.

Plans are also underway in the spring to offer an Interfaith Series at CHS, focusing on the major world religions, taught by Mark Angina, Professor of Theology at Elmhurst College, Elmhurst, Illinois
