Learning Opportunities

At CHS we offer many opportunities to study the Bible and learn more about the basics of Christianity.
The Brotherhood of St. Bernard (Old Dogs)
The
"Old Dogs" is made up of retired men of the parish who meet for reading
and frank conversation on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. in the Armour Room.
The purpose of this group is to provide a regular forum for men who
recognize a personal spiritual need, in which they study and share
their opinions, questions and fears about their own lives, recognizing
that in honest dialogue with one's self and colleagues, the way of
our Lord may be better understood.
Men's Bible Breakfast
Men
in the parish meet every Thursday morning at 6:15 a.m. to attend a
relaxed bible study and fellowship session. New members are welcome.
Rector's Bible Study
Jay
Sidebotham leads a bible study on Mondays from 12:15 to 1:30 p.m. in
the Armour Room. All parishioners are welcome to come when they can.
Feel free to bring lunch.
Kerygma
Kerygma
(a Greek word meaning proclamation or "word proclaimed") is an adult
bible study where participants learn the basics and complexities of the
Bible and apply that learning to their personal lives. Classes meet
every Thursday morning in the Armour Room from 9:30 to 11 a.m. through
the program year. All are welcome.
Benedictine Prayer
Benedictine
Prayer is a group that meets every other Friday morning at 9 a.m. to
reflect on portions of the rule of St. Benedict, and discover its
application to modern life. Come and see what a difference it can make
for you.
