Music in the Nave 2008

Music in the Nave announces its 19th season

The Church of the Holy Spirit kicks off its 19th  Music in the Nave season with a performance by the vocal sextet, Affabre Concinui (Latin for "ideally harmonized") on Sunday, February 24 at 4 p.m.   The group was formed by alumni of two famous men's choirs in the city of Poznan, Poland.  

The season continues with the piano duo of Richard Steinbach and Howard Helvey on Sunday, March 30 at 4 p.m.  The duo's concert will include a broad spectrum of two-piano music, from early Bach and Mozart to contemporary works. 

The final concert will be a recital by the acclaimed violinist, Rachel Barton Pine on Sunday, April 27 at 4 p.m.   Ms. Pine and pianist Matthew Hagle will present a program guaranteed to dazzle the audience.  The Church of the Holy Spirit is located at 400 East Westminster, Lake Forest, one block east of the Lake Forest train station on the Metra Union Pacific North Line. All Music in the Nave performances are offered free of charge (free-will offering) and are open to the community.
