Children:
Nursery
“…all of you are God’s children because of your
faith in Christ Jesus.” Galatians 3:26
Nursery
care is provided during the 9 and 11 a.m. services (September through
May) and the 10 a.m. service during the summer months.
The
mission of our church nursery is to allow parents to worship freely on
Sundays, and participate in church events knowing that God’s children
are being cared for in a safe and loving environment.
Nursery
care is provided year-round for our Sunday worship services as well as
special events throughout the year. The nursery is staffed by trained
daycare providers and volunteers from our parish family. The nursery
procedures have been designed with your children’s safety in mind.
We have two separate rooms and a private child-size restroom in between. The Infant Room is designed for newborns who
are not yet walking. This room has cribs, swings, rockers, changing
tables, floor mats and plenty of toys suitable for children under the
age of one.
Once a baby can walk, he or
she would move into the Toddler Room where there are more activities
and toys for a fun visit. This room is equipped with safe toys
including kitchen and imaginative play, climbing areas, Duplos,
coloring and a large variety of large and small motor activities.
There is also a quiet library area.
During Sunday
worship older children will be offered a snack and a short Bible story
and related activity to begin to learn about God’s love. Once children
are in a preschool program they are ready to leave the nursery and join
the Children’s Chapel at the 9 a.m. service and then stay for Church
School after the service.
