Senior High Youth Group:
Worktrip

Our goal and purpose of both our Youth Group and this Work Trip is to:

- help young people grow in their faith through service and fellowship
- to learn to respond to the needs of the church, the community, and the  world
- to provide meaningful experiences that will help guide them in their future.

Four years ago, The Church of the Holy Spirit embarked on a program that invites high school youth to travel for a week to do mission work.  This program invites kids to give of their time, their comforts and go out and serve God?s family. 

CHS continues to support this effort. Because:

- We believe that we are called to serve
- We believe we can help our high school students identify and develop their
             gifts by focusing on their spiritual, emotional, and social abilities
- We believe that working as a group teaches responsibility and compassion
- We believe that participating in these programs can impact they way they act
             now and throughout their life

We have chosen to do this because we have learned that after a work trip, that youth:

- appreciate what they have more
- They may not know how to say it but their faith grew
- They can not stop talking about their experience and they want to share it.
- They want to sign up immediately for the next year
- They are sad to see it end, but the bonds made last forever.
